Lyrics
Di last Red Stripe bottle pon di half-built wall a sweat.
Radio Irie sayin' breeze soon come, so we nuh fret.
Mi measure di plumb line, watch it tremble ever so slight.
Just a regular Sunday, September, under a strange yellow light.
[Chorus]
But di sky mix wrong, too much water, not enough sand.
And tomorrow will test every single thing we plan.
[Verse 2]
Old Man Shirley nailin' plywood to him window pane.
"'Gilbert?'" him laugh, "'Dat boy cyan't even bring a proper rain!'"
Mi watch Mama tie down di loose zinc pon di kitchen roof.
Her knuckles white, givin' Babylon a silent proof.
[Chorus]
'Cause di sky mix wrong, too much water, not enough sand.
And tomorrow will test every single thing we plan.
[Bridge]
Mi spirit level tell me dat di whole world gone off-true.
And all dese walls we buildin'... who we really buildin' them to?
[Outro]
Yeah, di sky mix wrong...
Di sky mix wrong.
