Lyrics
At 4:11 AM, the porter at The Midland
Traces the hairline fracture on a marble hand.
The last tram groans on Mosley Street, a lonely sound,
He sweeps the dust of someone else's night from off the ground.
[Chorus]
The blueprints show a different man,
But the night just turns the page again.
[Verse 2]
A cobalt suit hangs in his locker, zipper frayed.
"A foolish choice," his father's voice, a debt he never paid.
The moon gets caught in the scaffolding cage

[Chorus]
The blueprints show a different man,
But the night just turns the page again.
[Bridge]
Key-turn.
Lift-hum.
Street-cleaner's broom.
Comes the sun.
[Outro]
At 4:12 AM, the lobby's quiet,
And Isherwood is waiting for the light.
