I CHOOSE ME

who I was supposed to be.
But every time I lost my way,
I found a reason to stay.

And now I know,
I’m not alone.
I’ve got a fire
of my own.

I choose me, I choose life,
I choose the sun after the night.
I’m still here, I’m still free,
I’m becoming who I’m meant to be.
I won’t hide, I won’t run,
my story’s only just begun.
After everything I’ve been through,
I choose me…
I choose me.

I’ve got memories in my heart,
some beautiful, some left a scar.
But every tear, every goodbye
taught me how to spread my wings and fly.

I don’t need to have it all,
I can rise each time I fall.
And if the road gets hard again,
I’ll keep walking till the end.

Bridge – reggae feel
Oh-oh, let it go,
let the rhythm take control.
Oh-oh, breathe it in,
this is where my life begins.

Final Chorus – powerful
I choose me, I choose life,
I choose the sun after the night.
I’m still here, I’m still free,
I’m becoming who I’m meant to be.
I won’t hide, I won’t run,
my story’s only just begun.
After everything I’ve been through,
after all I’ve learned to do…
I choose me.
Yes, I choose me.

I’m still here…
I’m still standing…
I choose me. ❤️
