Happy birthday my pappi💜

[Intro]
Yeah yeah…
Oh na na…
Nelson Jere…
This one is for you, my love.
Nineteenth September, happy birthday, baby.

[Verse 1]
Back in March, I was broken,
Told myself, no man again.
My heart was tired, I was hurting,
I didn't want to fall again.

I went tinder dating app just to forget,
Just to take away the pain.
Everybody wanted something else,
Nothing there was making sense.

Then you came into my messages,
I thought you'd be just the same.
I wasn't looking for forever,
I wasn't even calling your name.

[Pre-Chorus]
But slowly, slowly, you got to me,
You showed me love could still be sweet.
I said, Nelson, this won't work,
I said, I can't love again.

But look at me now…

[Chorus]
Nelson Jere, you got me feeling love again,
Oh baby, you got me feeling love again.
My king, my Odongu, my baby,
My Prince Charming, you drive me crazy.

Oh Nelson, I choose you,
Every day, I choose you.
From a broken heart to loving you,
Baby, look what you made me do.

[Verse 2]
Do you remember when I told you,
This relationship won't go anywhere?
I said, I'm done, I give up,
I've forgotten how to love a man.

But you didn't run away,
You stayed and gave me time.
Little by little, day by day,
You found your way into my heart.

Now when I hear your name,
I can't help but smile.
Who knew the man I wasn't seeking
Would become my favourite person?

[Chorus]
Nelson Jere, you got me feeling love again,
Oh baby, you got me feeling love again.
My king, my Odongu, my baby,
My Prince Charming, you drive me crazy.

Oh Nelson, I choose you,
Every day, I choose you.
From a broken heart to loving you,
Baby, look what you made me do.

[Bridge]
Today is your birthday, my love,
And I want you to know…
Nineteenth September, twenty twenty-six,
I'll always remember this day.

You are more special than you know,
You came into my life unexpectedly.
Somehow you became my home,
Even across the distance between us.

[Final Chorus]
Nelson Jere, you got me feeling love again,
Oh baby, you got me feeling love again.
My king, my Odongu, my baby,
My Prince Charming, you drive me crazy.

Oh Nelson, I choose you,
Every day, I choose you.
From heartbreak to loving you,
Baby, look what you made me do.

[Afrobeat Outro]
Oh na na, Nelson Jere…
My love, my king, my Odongu…
My Prince Charming…

From heartbreak to love,
Look at us now.

A smile is all I need, yeah, just like that,
You look so handsome, my Nelson.
My sugar pappi, wherever you are,
Distance can't change the love in my heart.

Happy birthday, baby,
May God bless your new age.
Wherever life takes us,
Please remember what I say:

I love you, Nelson Jere.
Oh yeah…
I love you, my baby.
