First Picture, Forever

I want that first-day kiss, then a home we make our own,
And years from now, still choosing you as we grow old.

I love the woman I’m still getting to know,
Your tender way of listening, how seriously you hold
The things that matter, and the laugh that lets me rest.
I’ll ask about your day, be your shoulder when it’s hard,
Bring coffee, hugs, and reasons to smile back to your heart.

If words run out, just sit with me awhile;
Give me your hand, lay your head down, I’ll stay.
I dream of old photos, finding that first one again—
The picture that led me to you, my love, my home.

Alienny, my queen, how lucky I am to find you,
You call me “my king”; I’ll spend my days beside you.
When time has changed our faces, I’ll whisper, “I choose you”—
Still my best news, still my first picture come true.

From one shared photo to October seventeenth,
Alienny, my wife, my queen—how beautiful you are to me.
