Lyrics
I'm whistling along, just to get me through
They say to keep your head down, keep your spirits high
I'm just picturing your smile and our little girl's blue eyes
Oh, this whole damn war can keep the mud and grey
I'm just counting down the days
Traded coffee in our kitchen for this bitter morning brew
Tell our daughter that her daddy learned a funny story or two
Yeah, I'm the joker of the company, always find a stupid grin
But every joke's a prayer to be back home with you again
Oh, this whole damn war can keep the mud and grey
I'm just counting down the days
The leaves are turning gold and red, just like they do back there
I'd trade it all to feel your fingers running through my hair
Yeah, I'm coming home
Just wait for me.
