Rest, Papa, Rest

[Verse 1]
The house still says your name, but you’re not coming through the door,
Baziinaa Bernard, Papa—we love you evermore.
Today we mourn the great soul who has gone away,
Your memories stay beside us; they will never fade.
Evelyn, Godfrey, Charles, Ernest cry your name,
Jullet, Emilia, Godwin, Joe, Bartholomeo feel the same.

[Chorus]
Rest in peace, Baziinaa Bernard, rest in perfect peace,
Your children cry, your grandchildren pray—may your soul find release.
May angels guide you home to God above,
Florence holds your memory, wrapped in all your love.

[Verse 2]
Florence stands strong, though sorrow fills her heart,
She calls your name and trusts God through the dark.
Your grandchildren pray, “Grandpa, rest with angels now;
May heaven give you peace, and God receive you somehow.”

[Bridge]
Evelyn, Godfrey, Charles, Ernest—hold on, don’t lose hope;
Jullet, Emilia, Godwin, Joe, Bartholomeo—let’s pray and cope.
Your body’s gone, but the love you gave remains;
We’ll carry you forever, through the joy and through the pain.

[Outro]
Go and rest, Papa; your family loves you so.
Until we meet again, may your soul rest in peace.
