Lyrics
We laughed so hard we forgot the tune.
One phone recording, one room turned loud,
Two off-key legends, singing proud.
You and me, singing that song,
Missing a word but carrying on.
When the whole world fades away,
We’ve got our song, and we’ve got today.
You nailed the chorus, I made up the rest,
We sang it like we were the very best.
No perfect take, no need to pretend—
Just your voice beside mine, my friend.
Years from now, we’ll hear that melody,
And laugh at the way you looked at me.
Turn it up, let the old song play—
You sing your part, I’ll sing mine anyway.
