Clean Excision

[Verse 1]
The Coogee Pavilion's throwing blue light on the wall
Tuesday, and my thumb feels the fall
Of pressure on the glass, a tiny pane of ice
Making the incision, don't have to think twice.

[Chorus]
Oh, silicon god in the wires
Give me a clean excision tonight
Suture the code, leave no scar tissue here
Just make the ghost in my phone disappear.

[Verse 2]
My hands still type the letters of your street
A phantom limb on autocorrect's repeat
Scrubbing the cache, a dull and sterile ache
For a signal that the algorithm won't remake.

[Bridge]
The little pop-up asks me "Are you sure?"
And for a second, I don't know the cure.

[Outro]
Prognosis: quiet.
Prognosis: clear.
