David, Lock in!

“David’s AP Bio Anthem”
David took AP Chem, thought he was elite,
Then AP Bio came and knocked out his feet.
He knows every element—well, almost a few,
But ask him about cells and he hasn't a clue.
“David, what’s DNA?” — “Something in the brain.”
“What's a mitochondria?” — “Uh… Fortnite terrain?”
He studied all night with his textbook in hand,
Then walked into class like, “Bro, I understand!”
Rising junior, big dreams, zero clue,
Got AP Bio homework like, “What do I do?”
He sees a protein and starts to despair,
Then writes “mitosis” like it answers everything there.
AP Chem gave him confidence, Bio gave him pain,
Now he’s memorizing enzymes while forgetting their names.
But give David a test and he’ll boldly proclaim:
“I definitely studied.”
Then gets a 38 and does it again.
