Lyrics
FATHER
Yeah, yeah
I been walking through the dark but I still see the light
Had to put my faith in You, even when I lost sight
I don't need to understand, I know You got my life
Every time I almost fell, You was there by my side (yeah)
I was looking for a way, You already made a path
Had me standing through the storm while the rain was coming fast
I was worried 'bout tomorrow, You was telling me relax
Put my trust inside Your hands, I ain't gotta fear the past
Father, I'm calling Your name
I know You hear every prayer
Even when I feel so far
I know You're always there
I been through some lonely nights, still I never lost belief
Had a weight up on my heart, You were giving me some peace
When the world was getting cold, You were giving me some heat
Now I'm walking with my faith, got me stronger on my feet (yeah)
I don't wanna chase the world if it takes me from Your way
Rather have Your love forever than a thousand brighter days
Keep my heart away from evil, keep temptation out my face
If I ever lose direction, Lord, just help me find my place (amen)
Father, You know what's inside
You know the thoughts I don't say
When I can't carry the weight
You give me strength for the day
So I'm giving You my worries, I'm releasing all the pain
I don't need to know the future, I just trust You with the change
Every blessing that I get, I know it came from up above
I was searching for the answer, then I realized it's love
Yeah…
Father, keep me close
Don't let me lose my soul
If I got You with me
I know I'm never walking alone
(Beat plays out)
