Fix Me Softly

On the cracks I used to hide.

If you look — not just glance — you’ll see,
I still bleed, but I still breathe.
I don’t need a child to feel whole,
Just your trust while I reclaim control.
I’m not broken, just rebuilding,
Let me try without you shielding.
Fix me softly, with your eyes—
Not your hands, not your goodbyes.

They all think I’m too fragile,
But you’ve seen the storms I’ve faced.
I fall, I scream, I shatter,
But I rise in quiet grace.

I know my mind’s been restless,
Spinning truths that make me small—
But even when I’m drowning,
I hear the calm behind it all.

Don’t weigh my worth on perfect days,
I shine the most through storm and haze.
If I lose you while I fight for me,
Will you still believe in what we could be?

If you look — truly see — you’ll know,
Even lost, I’ve got room to grow.
I don’t need a savior or a sign,
Just your faith as I rewrite mine.
I’m not broken, just becoming—
Love me like I’m still becoming.
Fix me softly, with your eyes...
And I’ll learn to rise.
