About Valo Vitka
Valo Vitka's father was a snowplow operator in Rovaniemi, Finland. Valo now works the front desk at a glass igloo hotel, selling tourists a comfortable version of the Arctic wilderness he grew up in. In the quiet of the polar night, he coaxes immense, glacial drones from a cello his grandfather built, processing its sound into landscapes of ice, static, and profound, northern melancholy.
