Ordered something quick, came back doing mathematics.
Thirty-minute break, twenty-nine minutes in traffic,
Walked through the door chewing fries like nothing happened.

Boss said, “Where you been?” I said, “Building morale,”
He looked at the bag — I said, “Team lunch… individual style.”
I keep it professional, smile big, keep it mild,
But if overtime ain’t paid, my phone suddenly loses signal.
