The Real G Willy

Grandkids coming over, hear the thunder at the door,
One needs a snack, and three are asking for more.
Lost shoes, loose teeth, got a carpool to run,
She gets it all done and still makes it look fun.

G Willy! G Willy! Yeah, the real G Willy!
Faith in her heart and the schedule stays busy.
Grandpa Mike's got seconds, now he's eyeing plate three —
"Leave some for the grandkids!" That's the real G Willy!

She's a prayer warrior, got a list full of names,
Shows up for the family when the hard days came.
She's got love for the kids, she's got patience for days,
But there's one little problem at the buffet trays.
Mike's by the counter, looking innocent and sweet,
With a roll in his pocket and a mouth full of meat.
She just gives him that look — he knows what it means,
Puts the cookies right back and starts washing the greens.

G Willy! G Willy! Yeah, the real G Willy!
Faith in her heart and the schedule stays busy.
Grandpa Mike's got seconds, now he's eyeing plate three —
"Leave some for the grandkids!" That's the real G Willy!

Mike, I said one more roll.
...Okay. Half a roll.
