Influenced by Charlotte de Witte, I Hate Models, FJAAK, Paula Temple. Inara Voss was born in Brussels to a Polish surgeon and an engineer, a world of clinical precision she fled for the chaos of the European rave circuit. Her career was forged in the aftermath of a total collapse at 22, from which she emerged sober and with a new purpose: to channel her experiences into brutal, industrial techno. Each track is a work of radical discipline, built on the punishing 4/4 rhythms that serve as her meditation. Based in her minimalist Saint-Gilles studio, her music is a testament to the idea that structure is the only thing that can save you from yourself.

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
(Sound of a phone call connecting, a single ring, then voicemail tone)
Hey. It's me. Outside the Commune on a Tuesday, the air tastes like wet steel.
Just… got the paperwork done.
My signature looks like a suture on the dotted line they gave me.
Heard the tram hiss on the Chaussée de Waterloo, felt the whole grid shift.

[Chorus]
Perpetual compliance is the body's oldest trick.
Just smile and nod and recalibrate, thoracic and stoic.
The foreign body response, a quiet kind of sick.
You learn the posture for their files, you make the panic quick.

[Verse 2]
He held my card to the light, said, "This name is a bit... dense."
And I watched my own pulse spike on some imagined instrument.
Felt the old architecture creak, the pins start to give.
Just another load-bearing lie about the way I want to live.

[Chorus]
Perpetual compliance is the body's oldest trick.
Just smile and nod and recalibrate, thoracic and stoic.
The foreign body response, a quiet kind of sick.
You learn the posture for their files, you make the panic quick.

[Bridge]
(Beat switches to a heavy, halftime groove. Vocals become clearer, less processed)
But the metal in my marrow sings a different key now.
This fragile peace is something that I built here anyhow.

[Outro]
(Voicemail clicks, sound of her breathing)
Anyway. I'm good. Talk soon.
