Brenda Liss, My Star

[Verse 1]
Brenda Liss, you’re seven, with the whole world in your eyes,
You turn an ordinary day into a bright surprise.
Your little laugh can find me wherever I may be,
And every bedtime story feels like home to me.

[Chorus]
Brenda Liss, my little star, wherever you may roam,
You’ll always have my hand to hold, you’ll always have a home.
Seven years of loving you, and still my heart says more—
My sweet girl, you’re the song I’m grateful for.

[Verse 2]
You ask a hundred questions, then you dream a hundred more,
You leave your little treasures scattered on the floor.
I hope you keep that wonder as the years go flying by,
And know I’ll cheer you on beneath each changing sky.

[Bridge]
You don’t have to be perfect, just be wonderfully you,
There’s nothing in this world my love won’t see you through.

[Outro]
Goodnight, Brenda Liss, let your sleepy dreams take flight,
My seven-year-old forever, my joy, my heart, my light.
