Peace in the storm

When the sky turns grey, I feel at home,
Cold winds whisper where I roam.
No sunlight needed, no reason why,
I lose myself beneath the cloudy sky.

Grey clouds floating in the sky,
Cold wind passing me by.
Mountains, lakes, waterfalls,
I find my peace where nature calls.

I love the clouds, I love the night,
The moon, the stars, their gentle light.
Thunder rolls, my heart feels strange,
A little fear, a little peace in the rain.

Maybe heaven's angry tonight,
Let the thunder speak, let the lightning light.

When lightning falls, I look away,
Scared of the damage it can make.
I love the thunder, I love its sound,
But fear the pain when lightning hits the ground.

But after the storm, when silence arrives,
I look at the stars and feel alive.

Dark skies above, cold air around,
I close my eyes and lose every sound.
In every storm, in every breeze,
There's something in nature that brings me peace.

So let the clouds cover up the sky,
Let the thunder roll and the wild wind fly.
When the moon comes out and the stars appear,
I know I’ll always find my peace up here. 🌙
